Product Description
Brief History
The Accuracy International Arctic Warfare, or simply L96, was designed and manufactured by the English company Accuracy International starting in the 1980s to replace the Lee-Enfield, which had become outdated compared to existing technology. The weapon itself is designed to function in extreme cold temperatures. The original model, named L96A1, has undergone improvements over time, changing its name to AW or Arctic Warfare. This rifle quickly impressed users and soon gained appreciation among law enforcement forces due to its accuracy and reliability.
Exterior of the Replica
This replica is manufactured by WELL and mimics the L96 model. While the details of the replica are not 100% accurate to the real weapon, it resembles the L96 quite well and is appreciated by players for its affordable price compared to more expensive replicas. The body is made of ABS plastic secured with screws. The supporting and reinforcing elements are made of metal. The stock of the replica is foldable for easier transport. The cheek rest is adjustable in height, and the shoulder support can also be modified using spacers. At the back and bottom of the stock, there is an extendable leg that allows the replica to be stabilized in a shooting position. To attach a sling, ambidextrous sling swivels are located at the ends of the replica's body. The package includes a metal scope with specifications of 3-9x40 mm and an adjustable metal bipod, equipped with rubber on the bottom for grip. This bipod attaches to the rail system mounted in the designated slot specific to the L96. The external barrel of the replica mimics the "Fluted" model, which would normally help cool the external barrel. Obviously, in our case, it serves a purely ornamental role. The magazine of the replica is positioned slightly further forward than in the real weapon and does not protrude outward. The replica is largely disassembled in the package, requiring manual assembly of all elements.
Interior of the Replica
The replica operates with manual loading. This means that to operate it, manual cocking of a spring is required, which also serves to feed the BBs. For each cocking, the replica can fire one BB. The internal mechanism of the replica, or the "trigger box", is made of metal, and inside the cylinder, there is a piston and aluminum guide to enhance reliability. The installed spring generates a speed of 170 m/s using 0.20g BBs. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use 0.36g or 0.40g BBs. The replica is equipped with an adjustable hop-up that can be accessed with the small Allen key included in the package.
Feeding
BBs are stored in the magazine and can hold approximately 24-25 6 mm BBs. It is recommended to use high-quality BBs weighing 0.36g. Do not disassemble the replica unless absolutely necessary. Repeated assembly and disassembly may damage the component attachment system. Once the scope is mounted, it must be correctly adjusted to align with the BB's trajectory.
