Brief History

The Accuracy International Arctic Warfare rifle, or simply L96, was designed and manufactured by the English company Accuracy International since the 1980s to replace the Lee-Enfield, which had become too outdated compared to existing technology. The weapon itself is designed to operate in extreme cold temperature areas. The original model, named L96A1, has undergone improvements over time, changing its name to AW or Arctic Warfare. This rifle quickly impressed users and was soon appreciated among law enforcement forces due to its precision and reliability.

Description

This airsoft replica is fundamentally a sniper rifle based on elements from several existing platforms. The receiver resembles those of hunting rifles, the barrel is similar to military ones, and the body features a modern and innovative design. Its design aims to provide good maneuverability and stability during operation. The firing system and the barrel itself tend to mimic the series based on the famous L96 or Arctic Warfare, but the resemblance stops there. Let's delve into the details.

Exterior of the Replica

This replica has a body made from quality ABS plastic and is secured with screws both between panels and in the receiver. The outer barrel and the receiver or cylinder support are made of metal. The replica has a balanced weight due to the well-balanced stock. The body shape is extremely comfortable in most shooting positions. On the upper part of the body, there is a rail for mounting the scope, while on the lower front part, the bipod is attached, providing the replica with ideal stability.

Interior of the Replica

To operate, the replica does not require gas, CO2, electric power, heat, impact, or other external power sources. Its cocking is done manually, which feeds the BB and tensions the internal spring that generates the necessary air blast to expel the BB. The simple system allows the replica to be used in almost any climatic condition. The mechanism of the replica or trigger box is made of metal and successfully withstands the equipped spring. The piston and spring guide are made of metal. The speed of the replica is approximately 165-170 m/s or 2.6j - 2.8j measured with 0.20g BBs. Considering the speed, we recommend using heavier BBs, 0.36g or 0.40g.

Power Supply

The replica is delivered disassembled, and the package includes all the necessary tools for its assembly and accessories. It is important not to rush the assembly process as you risk damaging the threads. Avoid excessive disassembly and reassembly of the replica as this process can jeopardize the integrity of the threads. The package includes the replica, cleaning rod, tactical sling, BB loader, and a magazine with a capacity of 25 rounds of 6mm. It is recommended to use high-quality BBs for optimal performance. Do not reuse BBs and avoid using low-quality BBs as this may damage the replica.
