Short History

Walther PPQ represented the most important pistol platform of the interwar period. It was designed and manufactured by the German company Walther, and began its "service" in 1929 within the law enforcement forces. As suggested by the title "Polizei Pistole" which translates to Policeman's Pistol. This pistol was highly appreciated among law enforcement forces and civilians alike due to its reliability and compact dimensions. In 1931, the PPK model was introduced to the market, "Polizei Pistole Kriminalmodell" or Policeman's Detective Pistol. This model had smaller dimensions than the classic PP, making it even easier to carry and handle. Combining the PP and PPK models resulted in the PPK/S platform in 1968, due to constraints from the Gun Control Act of 1968 in the United States, combining the capacity of the PP with the compact size of the PPK's grip. Regardless of the model and platform, PP/PPK remains one of the most beloved pistols among secret law enforcement, espionage agents, and others. Here we can fondly recall the James Bond series, where the PPK was often seen as the signature weapon of secret agent 007.

Replica Exterior

Compared to the real firearm, this replica manufactured by Umarex has a metal upper part and an ABS lower part. Its design closely resembles the Walther-made P22. Just like the real weapon, the safety is on the left side and can be operated regardless of the hammer's position.

Replica Interior

The internal mechanism of the replica is made of plastic and metal and operates manually. Cocking the hammer and loading the BBs is done strictly by pulling the slide back to the locked position. The replica does not have adjustable hop-up.
