Umarex Walther P99 DAO Dual Tone

Brief History

The project for the P99 pistol began in 1994, with its first presentation occurring in 1997, the year it also entered mass production. This model represented a significant leap for the Walther company, following a change in management. The new model was initially used by the German police in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. From there, the pistol was ordered by many other law enforcement agencies worldwide due to its extremely maneuverable revolutionary design and good reliability.

Exterior of the Replica

Like the real firearm, this replica manufactured by Umarex features a metal upper and a plastic lower. Its design closely resembles the P99 made by Walther. On the right side above the trigger, there is a safety catch, and on the left side, there is the slide catch for releasing the slide. The design of the replica is based on a chamber for storing CO2, separate from the BB magazine. Like the real firearm, the P99 DAO features recoil, and due to the material of the slide, the sound produced during operation is metallic.

Interior of the Replica

The internal mechanism of the replica is made of metal and operates strictly with CO2. The design of the internal mechanism does not rely on recoil to re-cock the replica. The recoil is purely decorative. Cocking the hammer and loading BBs is done strictly through the trigger action, resulting in a slightly heavier trigger pull. The replica does not come with an adjustable hop-up.

Power Source

The replica operates with 12g CO2 cartridges stored inside the grip. The magazine of the replica is operated separately from the CO2 compartment. We recommend using high-quality BBs and not reusing them. Otherwise, the replica may become damaged.
