Umarex Walther P22Q Spring

Short history

Walther P22Q represented the most important pistol platform of the interwar period. It was designed and manufactured by the German company Walther, and started its "service" in 1929 within law enforcement agencies. As the title "Polizei Pistole" suggests, which translates to Policeman's Pistol, this pistol was highly appreciated among law enforcement as well as civilians due to its reliability and compact size. In 1931, the PPK model was introduced to the market, which stands for "Polizei Pistole Kriminalmodell" or Policeman Detective Pistol. The dimensions of this model are smaller than the classic PP, making it even easier to carry and operate. Combining the PP and PPK models resulted in the PPK/S platform in 1968, as a response to the GCA68 (Gun Control Act of 1968) regulations of the United States. This pistol combines the capacity of PP with the reduced size of the PPK grip. Regardless of the model and platform, PP/PPK remains one of the most beloved pistols among secret law enforcement agencies, spy agents, and others. We can fondly remember the James Bond series, where the PPK is often the signature weapon of secret agent 007.

Replica exterior

Compared to the real gun, this replica manufactured by Umarex has a metal upper part and an ABS lower part. Its design closely resembles the Walther P22. Like the real firearm, the safety is on the left side and can be operated regardless of the hammer position.

Replica interior

The internal mechanism of the replica is made of plastic and metal and operates manually. Cocking the slide and loading the BBs is done strictly by pulling the slide until it locks. The replica does not have an adjustable hop-up.
