Brief History

PARA (PARA USA) is an American firearms manufacturer. It is the successor to Para-Ordnance, founded in Canada in 1985. The company specializes in the manufacture of pistols and components based on the M1911 platform. PARA offers a wide range of products for law enforcement, military, and civilian use.

Description

The presented airsoft replica closely mimics the original pistol's external appearance. The major difference is the non-blowback operation NBB. This principle is simple. When the trigger is pulled, a BB from the magazine is fed into the barrel, and the striker is cocked and released. Thus, the trigger pull is slightly longer than that of blowback pistols, and the pressure required to pull it is higher.

Exterior of the Replica

The upper part of the replica (the slide) and the lower part are made from quality ABS plastic. Its relatively light and well-distributed weight contributes to maneuverability. The magazine catch button is positioned according to the real pistol, while the safety button is located on the right side above the trigger. The other buttons are purely decorative. At the front, there is a standard 22mm rail that can accommodate a variety of accessories such as lasers, flashlights, or other devices with standard rail mounts. The sights of the airsoft replica are fixed but aligned straight, making them usable for aiming.

Interior of the Replica

The firing mechanism is extremely simple and practical, ensuring high reliability. Quality metal components are used, making it resistant to wear. The airsoft replica does not feature a BB lift system, Hop-Up, but due to the relatively high speed of 135-140 m/s with 0.20g BBs, the BB has a straight trajectory over a sufficient distance.

The airsoft replica operates on CO2. The BB magazine also houses a 12g CO2 cartridge. At the bottom of the magazine, you can see the flower-type screw for securing the capsule. The CO2 cartridge is inserted and then securely screwed in. It is loaded with 6mm airsoft BBs from the top, the magazine is inserted into the replica, and it is ready to fire.

Warning: It is recommended to spray a small amount of silicone oil on the contact seal surface before installing a new CO2 cartridge. It is not recommended to store the CO2 cartridge in the airsoft replica; after each use, even if the cartridge is not empty, it should be removed to protect the seals.
