Short history

Introduced to the public for the first time in 1991, and a few years later entered production. Its manufacturing takes place in America, combining German parts with American production, which is why the new form of the P229 was considered primarily for the American public. The secret of the P229 is the slide machined from a single piece of aluminum, which offers much greater resistance to the pistol. However, a disadvantage is the weight, as the aluminum slide is somewhat heavier than the steel version.

Exterior of the replica

This airsoft replica is offered by Sig Sauer and is called the P229. Its body is entirely made of metal, while the grips are made of ABS plastic. The pistol functions in semi-automatic mode, just like a real firearm. Each time the trigger is pulled, the replica will fire a shot and then automatically recock.

The weight of the airsoft replica is not to be neglected. At almost 900g, it is only a few grams lighter than the real gun. The weight is achieved from the entire construction assembly and not from weights placed inside the pistol body.

Just like the real firearm, on the left side of the airsoft replica, there is a decocker button for the hammer. Also on the left side, there is the button for disassembling the slide.
