Product Description
Brief History
The M4A1 model emerged in the early 90s with the aim of replacing the CAR15 model, which, in turn, is a lightweight assault weapon but had become outdated in certain aspects. Shortly after the implementation of this weapon, it was appreciated by the American military and beyond. From its design perspective, the M4A1 is a weapon that relies on precision and ease of operation. At least that was the intention of the designers. Setting aside the controversial comparisons with other weapons around the world, the M4A1 remains an assault rifle, automatic, precise, and easy to handle due to its relatively central weight distribution. Today, this platform is one of the most common on the market, available in countless calibers, lengths, shapes, colors, and other features.
Presentation
The Systema PTW or Professional Training Weapons replicas were designed by the Japanese company Systema to provide a reliable training platform for military forces and a faithful replica of real weapons for airsoft enthusiasts. This airsoft replica was created with particular attention to the real weapon. The total weight, weight distribution, dimensions, sizes, and even the operating buttons have been carefully copied to resemble the real weapon as closely as possible. Systema replicas are hard to distinguish from real weapons at first glance.
Exterior of the Replica
This replica is the M4-A1-MAX-2 model and represents one of the variants of the M4-A1 platform accessorized with a SOPMOD stock and Magpul sighting system. Unlike most airsoft replicas on the market, the Systema replica is somewhat heavier, approximately 3.2 kg, a weight largely gained through the type of materials used. These materials have a high carbon content, thus improving resistance to mechanical shocks. It can be said that this airsoft replica is not fragile; on the contrary, it is quite resistant to physical abuse. Just like the real weapon, what needs to be steel is made of steel, and what needs to be plastic is indeed made of plastic. The handguard, grip, and SOPMOD stock are made from plastic materials. The Systema PTW resembles the real weapon so closely that certain accessories designed for real weapons, such as handguards and stocks, can fit as well. The sighting system is classic, adjustable, and the rear part is foldable. On the upper part of the replica, there is a standard rail on which sighting devices can be mounted.
Interior of the Replica
The interior of this replica is also quite special. The manufacturer has devised a simple and efficient power adjustment system. Systema has separated the gearbox area where the gears are from the area where the air group is located, incorporating the entire air group into a single compact cylinder. By simply removing the pin from the back of the casing, the replica can be disassembled like the real weapon, and the cylinder can be replaced with another one of different power.
The gearbox itself is somewhat simpler than the classic V2 or V3 but can also seem more complicated. There are 7 gears instead of 3, arranged in a planetary system, thus this cinematic chain will generate a high torque that will easily operate the spring rated at 130 meters per second with which this replica is equipped. The gears are made from high-quality steel, resistant to wear. The motor is the KUMI model, named after the owner of the company. This motor is an improved model compared to previous ones, with significantly enhanced reliability.
The cylinder represents the entire assembly of the air group; spring piston, piston head, BB BB feeding system, and pressure cylinder in a single compact, easy-to-handle cylinder. These cylinders are available separately on the market and can provide powers of 90 m/s, 110 m/s, 130 m/s, and even higher powers.
All this assembly is monitored by a programmable electronic system from ETNY, capable of starting and stopping the gearbox with very good precision. The feedback from the commands is very quick, allowing the user comfortable operation, ultimately translated into performance on the battlefield. With each pull of the trigger, the replica will perform its action according to the firing selection. Just like the real weapon, when the BBs in the magazine run out, the replica will cease to function until the magazine is replaced with a full one, and similarly to the real weapon, the bolt release button will be pressed.
The inner barrel of the toy has an internal diameter of 6.04 mm and an external diameter much thicker than a regular barrel. With the help of the thick material, unwanted vibrations that occur during operation are eliminated, thus improving accuracy.
Power Supply
The replica is delivered fully disassembled and will require assembly. Inside, there are all the necessary internal components for its operation and a CD with exact assembly and usage instructions. The replica is delivered with a mid-cap magazine of 120 BBs. To function, this replica will need a 9.6V NiMh battery or an 11.1V LiPo battery. The space designated for the battery is in the SOPMOD stock. The replica is equipped with a large Tamiya connector but can be replaced with Deans upon request. We recommend using only high-quality BBs for optimal performance and not to reuse BBs as this may damage the replica.
