Presentation

Klarus is established in Shenzhen, China, and was founded in 2011. It has become easily recognized worldwide for the high quality of the professional lighting systems it manufactures for all fields of activity.

Description

The XT21X flashlight offered by Klarus is part of the XT series. This series is aimed at tactical users who need firm and diverse control over the functions provided. The internal circuit of the flashlight is specially designed to manage the battery voltage and the light output accurately.

Functions and Modes

There are 7 lighting functions: Turbo-4000 lm, High-1200 lm, Medium-400 lm, Low-100 lm, Moonlight-5 lm, Strobe-4000 lm, and SOS-100 lm.

Using a 21700 5000mAh battery, the flashlight is capable of providing a runtime of; 1.2h on turbo, 2.3h on high, 6.5h on medium, 21h on low, 200h on moonlight, 2.4h on strobe, and 63h on SOS.

To facilitate easier operation of the flashlight, the manufacturer has provided a control with 3 buttons, all programmable. 2 buttons are located on the back of the flashlight for tactical operation, while one button is on the side of the flashlight.

We can always know the battery voltage level with the help of the LED located on the side button, which indicates the battery status based on the color displayed; green-over 70%/orange-between 30 and 70%/red-less than 30%/flashing red-less than 10%

The flashlight is equipped with a charging circuit for the internal battery. The connection port is on the front and is of the USB-C type. It is important that the power source is 5V DC between 0.5 and 2A.

Construction

The body of the flashlight is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and is covered with a textured grip for a firmer hold. The manufacturer guarantees protection against moisture according to the IPX8 standard.

Package

The flashlight is delivered with a USB/USB-C charging cable, a lanyard for support, a rechargeable Li-ion 3.6V 5000mAh battery, and a Cordura transport pouch. The flashlight can also operate with standard 21700 batteries.
