Product Description
Presentation
The 1911 MEU SOC represents the modernized version of the famous 1911 designed by John Browning. The 1911 MEU was designed in 1986 to meet the demands of active American military personnel, especially the United States Marine Corps' Marines Expeditionary Units. The modifications are both mechanical and aesthetic in nature. The design of the controls has been improved, and the internal mechanisms allow for better reliability over time. This time, the 1911 can also be manufactured with a front rail to mount tactical accessories, and the ambidextrous safety allows for better usability among left-handed users.
Exterior of the Replica
This replica sold by KJW, is made almost entirely of metal. The only plastic ABS elements are the grip panels. The sights of the replica are fixed but well-oriented. At the front of the replica, there is a standard rail that allows for the mounting of devices such as lasers or flashlights.
The safety features of the replica are as follows: A trigger safety located at the rear of the grip. Thus, without a firm grip in hand, the trigger cannot be activated. There is also a hammer safety. This safety is ambidextrous and can only be used when the hammer is cocked. The operation of the replica is similar to that of a real firearm. To cock it, the slide must be pulled back. At this moment, the internal mechanism is cocked, and a BB is fed into the barrel. The pistol is equipped with recoil, similar to a real firearm, this movement serves to feed the next BB and re-cock the mechanism.
Interior of the Replica
The internals of the replica are of high quality; when used under proper conditions and maintained accordingly, it is a durable replica with minimal chances of malfunction. The magazine holds 24 BBs. The mechanisms of the pistol's operation are standard, so if an internal component fails, it can be replaced.
To disassemble the replica, the slide catch must be removed, after which the slide is released forward. Through this operation, we can also access and adjust the Hop-Up, which is consistent and precise. The accuracy of this airsoft replica is very good. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance. The velocity of the replica measured with 0.20g BBs is 100-110 meters per second.
Power Supply
This airsoft replica operates with 12g CO2 cartridges. The cartridge has a specially designed space inside the magazine. By using CO2, the replica can be used even if the ambient temperature is lower. Caution, do not freeze. When classic Green Gas is no longer sufficient, CO2 will function effectively.
Warning: It is recommended to spray a small amount of silicone oil on the contact seal surface before installing a new CO2 cartridge. It is not recommended to store the CO2 cartridge in the replica; after each use, even if the cartridge is not empty, it should be removed to protect the seals.
Periodically, the airsoft replica should be cleaned and lubricated according to the recommendations in the Service and Care section. This way, the airsoft replica can function correctly for a long time.
