Product Description
Brief History
The Thompson is a subcompact automatic machine gun, designed to supplement and even replace the manually operated weapons of its time. Its design took nearly 3 years, from 1917 to 1920, and it was launched into action in 1921. Due to its revolutionary system at the time, it was quickly appreciated by law enforcement and civilians alike. The simplistic mechanism and large caliber cartridge make it a reliable and easy-to-use weapon, even though accuracy is not its strong point. When it was first launched, it cost half the value of a Ford vehicle, $200. In 1938, it was adopted by the U.S. Army and received several improvements to better meet demands, including a high-capacity magazine and enhancements in design and operation. Today, this weapon remains etched in the imagination of any enthusiast as the American mafia's weapon known as the Tommy Gun.
Exterior of the Replica
This replica is made by King Arms, and the level of detail is impressive. It is made from metal and wood, and the markings resembling those of the real weapon delight fans of classic replicas. Like the real weapon, the controls are located on the left side, and the fire selector is separate from the safety. A bit further forward is the button for releasing the magazine. The high-capacity magazine that mimics the 100-round model is manually operated and can store 450 BBs. On the top, there is a classic sighting system.
Interior of the Replica
This replica is equipped with a standard V6 gearbox, fitted with 9 mm bearings. The gears, piston, and other internal components are standard, allowing for performance modifications when desired. The inner barrel has a standard diameter of 6.08 mm, and the hop-up chamber allows for hop adjustment. The replica allows for a speed of 125-130 m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. The battery compartment is located inside the stock.
Power Supply
The replica does not come with a battery. We recommend that when purchasing the replica, you also add a battery and a charger for this battery to your order. It is recommended to use 8.4V or 9.6V NiMH batteries or 7.4V LiPo. Any voltage above 9.6V can severely damage the replica. For optimal performance, we recommend using BBs weighing 0.25g or 0.28g. Do not reuse BBs and do not use low-quality BBs, as this may damage the replica.
