One of the most popular platforms of the 21st century is undoubtedly the American M4. Manufacturers are constantly trying to improve the reliability and performance of this weapon. In terms of airsoft replicas, G&G is a renowned manufacturer in the airsoft world, which, like real weapon manufacturers, aims to enhance this "Barbie doll" of the market, the M4.

Exterior of the replica

The model in question is called T418-S and represents the upper class of the G&G brand. The materials used are carefully selected, and the quality of the finishes is exceptional. The body of the replica is made from aluminum and magnesium alloys, contributing to the reduction of the replica's weight. The front rail system is also made from metal alloys, which helps balance the replica. The grip and stock of the replica are made from ABS plastic. A large part of the upper surface of the replica features a standard rail for mounting optical accessories. From the factory, the replica is equipped with a classic detachable sighting system that resembles the system used on HK416 platforms. The sling can be attached at one of the two attachment points; one at the rear of the rail system and the other at the rear of the body.

Interior of the replica

This is where the magic happens. G&G has equipped this replica with a Version 2 metal gearbox, featuring a pneumatic recoil system, contributing to the realism sought by many players. Internal components such as gears, the piston, and other parts are standard. Each piece that is intended to be replaced must be carefully checked for compatibility.
The hop-up chamber is made of plastic and is adjustable. The speed of the replica is 110-115 meters per second measured with 0.20g BBs. The hop-up adjustment is located inside the ejection port, and accessing it requires operating the charging lever.
Another interesting feature of the airsoft replica is the ability to decompress the spring. The button that normally serves to unlock the bolt on a real weapon is a useful aspect regarding the reliability of the gearbox.

Power Supply

The package does not include a battery or a battery charger. It is recommended to use a 9.6V 1600 mAh crane-type battery, which can be mounted inside the stock. 7.4V and 11.1V LiPo batteries can also be used. It is recommended to use quality BBs weighing 0.25g for optimal results.
