FPS ZERO-SHOCK Piston with Metal Teeth

FPS Airsoft presents the first piston with a 100% technopolymer body and metal teeth made in Italy.

The material chosen for the piston is reinforced technopolymer, a material with high mechanical performance and a very low coefficient of friction.

The teeth have been manufactured using MIM (Metal Injection Molding) technology, as this production process guarantees dimensional precision and strength equal to that of solid machining.

The innovation is presented by the second missing tooth and the third already lowered by 0.3 millimeters, as this configuration predisposes the piston itself for a correct angle of engagement (AOE) and makes it suitable for high speeds.

The type of injected metal is SAE 4650 + HRC38-42, which is currently considered the best material on the market for this type of use.

The sliding guides are designed to minimize friction and retain lubricant for a long period of time.

The wheels are decentralized to promote coupling between the piston teeth and those of the sector gear.

The longitudinal reinforcements on the sides of the teeth increase the robustness of the piston and prevent the rack from contacting the inner wall of the cylinder.

Special ribs reduce the contact surface between the spring and the inner part of the piston body, consequently reducing friction between metal and technopolymer during contraction and elongation due to the firing cycle.
