Brief History

This technological marvel is named PP-19 Bizon and is the result of collaboration between Victor Kalashnikov, the son of the famous Mikhail Kalashnikov, and Alexei Dragunov, the youngest son of Evgeny Dragunov in the early 90s. The creation of this weapon was a response to a request from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to provide anti-terror troops as well as troops operating in confined spaces. In 1995, it was chosen from several options presented to the FSB and Ministry of Justice commission. The advantages of this weapon are its compactness and the power it offers. The operating principle is based on recoil rather than gas recovery. The PP-19 platform exists in multiple variants with various calibers depending on needs.

Exterior of the Replica

The replica from Cyma closely resembles the real weapon. It is primarily made of metal, and its similarity to renowned existing platforms such as the CM.048 places it directly in the "heavy" class. As mentioned, the exterior of the replica is made mostly of quality metals. The only ABS plastic elements are the grip and the magazine of the replica. Although the external components resemble AK platforms, they are not compatible with the CM.048 or other derivatives. The magazine of the replica, which seems to be taken from sci-fi movies, is space-efficient. Its placement in the lower part and the protrusions provide excellent grip, thus improving maneuverability. The controls of the replica are similar to classic AKs. The selector is on the right side, accessible with the right hand, while the mag catch is accessible with both hands. The stock of the replica is made of metal and folds to the left side.
