APS Limited, or more broadly Accuracy Pneumatics Shooting, was established in 2001 and initially focused on the development and manufacturing of training equipment such as Markers and special ammunition related to these Markers. Over time, APS has also developed its Airsoft branch, thus manufacturing airsoft replicas and accessories.

The present replica manages to break away from the classic standards we have become accustomed to and somewhat tired of. This spark of imagination from the gentlemen at APS is part of the ASR series, specifically the ASR121 Gold Dragon model.

Exterior of the Replica

This airsoft replica is primarily made from metal alloys, contributing to a lightweight design that improves maneuverability and efficiency on the airsoft field. The front part features a modular rail system called KEYMOD, of the free float type. This system allows for easy, secure, and quick mounting and dismounting of rails. The front part of the outer barrel can be removed, allowing for the attachment of a suppressor or other devices. Along the entire top of the airsoft replica, there is a standard rail, allowing for the mounting of a wide range of optical devices. This airsoft replica is also equipped with a 45-degree fiber optic flip-up sight. The operation of the sights is manual. The stock of the airsoft replica is fixed and serves to house the battery.

For attaching a sling, the QD system behind the grip can be used.

Interior of the Replica

Responsible for operation is a version 2 gearbox concept by APS. At first glance, it appears to be a standard V2 gearbox, strictly speaking regarding the gears, piston, spring, and other small components, which are indeed standard; however, the casing is slightly modified to allow for the installation of a blow-back system and to enable the removal of the guide without disassembling the casing. This makes the operation of spring replacement or intervention in the gearbox much easier.

The hop-up chamber is metal, making it much more resistant to wear. When correctly adjusted, the hop-up adjustment will provide a very good effective range. It should be noted that there may be traces of grease inside the hop-up chamber and the inner barrel, so careful cleaning of the BB feeding assembly is recommended. This airsoft replica is equipped with an active bolt catch. Once the charging handle is operated, the protective tab of the ejector port will remain open until the bolt catch is engaged, greatly facilitating the adjustment of the hop-up adjustment. The speed of the airsoft replica is approximately 120-125m/s, measured with 0.20g BBs. For optimal performance, 0.25g BBs are recommended.

With the purchase of the airsoft replica, we recommend acquiring a small capacity 11.1V LiPo battery, 1000/1200mAh. We recommend using high-quality BBs for optimal performance and to ensure the proper functioning of the airsoft replica. Do not use low-quality BBs and do not reuse BBs, as this may damage the replica.
