APS Limited, or more broadly Accuracy Pneumatics Shooting, was founded in 2001 and initially focused on the development and manufacturing of training equipment such as Markers and special ammunition for these Markers. Over time, APS has also developed its Airsoft branch, thus manufacturing airsoft replicas and accessories.

The presented replica is part of the Guardian series, specifically the ASR 110 model. Due to its dimensions, it is an airsoft replica recommended for the role of DMR or broadly Designated Marksman Rifle. Its design is both beautiful and functional, allowing for good customization.

Exterior of the replica

The airsoft replica 110 is primarily made from metal alloys, contributing to a low weight that enhances maneuverability. The front features a modular rail system. The front part of the outer barrel can be removed, allowing for the attachment of a suppressor or other devices. Along the entire top of the airsoft replica, there is a standard rail, allowing for the mounting of almost any type of advanced sighting device; red-dot, scopes, and others. This airsoft replica is also equipped with a classic foldable sighting system, for operating the rear sight, pressing the button on the front is necessary. The plastic elements of this toy are the motor grip and stock. The stock of the airsoft replica is adjustable, of the SOPMOD type, and allows for the mounting of crane-type batteries.

Interior of the replica

Responsible for operation is a version 2 APS concept gearbox. At first glance, it appears to be a standard V2 gearbox, strictly speaking about gears, piston, spring, and other small components, they are indeed standard; however, the shell is slightly modified to allow for the installation of a blowback system and to enable the removal of the guide without disassembling the shell. This makes the operation of spring replacement or intervention in the gearbox much easier.

The hop-up chamber is metal, making it much more resistant to wear. When correctly adjusted, the hop-up adjustment will provide superior effective range. It should be noted that there may be traces of grease inside the hop-up chamber and the inner barrel, careful cleaning of the hop-up assembly is recommended. This airsoft replica is equipped with an active bolt catch. Once the charging lever is activated, the protective tab of the ejection port will remain open until the bolt catch is activated, greatly facilitating the adjustment of the hop-up adjustment. The speed of the airsoft replica is approximately 110-115m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. For optimal performance, 0.25g BBs are recommended.

Power Supply

With the purchase of the airsoft replica, it is recommended to purchase a LiPo battery of a maximum of 7.4V and in a shape that allows mounting in the SOPMOD stock or a NiMh no larger than 9.6V mini Crane type. Any higher voltage may severely damage the toy. It is recommended to use high-quality BBs for optimal performance and to ensure the good functioning of the airsoft replica.
