APS M4 ASR104

Overview

APS Limited, or more broadly Accuracy Pneumatics Shooting, was established in 2001 and initially focused on the development and manufacturing of training equipment such as markers and special ammunition for these markers. Over time, APS has expanded into the Airsoft sector, producing airsoft replicas and accessories.

The presented replica represents the ASR 104 model. This model is part of the entry-level class and is designed to provide airsoft players with a platform that offers good value for money. 

Exterior of the Replica

The ASR 101 airsoft replica is primarily made from metal alloys, contributing to a lightweight design that enhances maneuverability. The flash hider can be removed, allowing for the attachment of a suppressor or other devices. The front rail system allows for the mounting of a wide range of tactical accessories. On the upper part of the replica's body, beneath the detachable grip, there is a standard rail that allows for the mounting of almost any type of advanced sighting device; red-dot, scopes, and more. The plastic components of this toy include the motor grip and the stock. The stock of the airsoft replica is adjustable.

Interior of the Replica

The action is powered by an APS version 2 gearbox. At first glance, it appears to be a standard V2 gearbox, as the gears, piston, spring, and other small components are indeed standard; however, the casing is slightly modified to allow for the installation of a blowback system. The replica is equipped with an adjustable hop-up system, allowing for a respectable effective range. This model features an active bolt catch. Once the charging lever is activated, the protective cover of the ejection port will remain open until the bolt catch is engaged, greatly facilitating hop-up adjustment. The airsoft replica has a velocity of approximately 115-120 m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. For optimal performance, we recommend using 0.25g BBs.

Power Supply

The package includes the replica and a hi-cap magazine. It is necessary to purchase a battery and a battery charger. We recommend acquiring a 9.6V NiMH or 7.4V LiPo battery. We advise using only high-quality BBs for optimal performance and not to reuse BBs or use low-quality BBs as this may damage the replica.
