Presentation

The present adapter is a tool that allows the use of classic chargers, for electric replicas, together with a Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa GBB pistol powered by a compressed air source, known as HPA. By using this adapter, you will have access to a shooting autonomy that is hard to match even by a GBB drum-mag, as well as access to a variety of AEG replica magazines that offer 4-5 times the capacity of a standard pistol magazine.

Description

The design of this adapter is simple, being made from a single large piece 3D printed from strong resin. The coupling with the AEG magazine is at a 90-degree angle, so the magazine aligns with the player's forearm and can also serve as a support point for the pistol when needed.

Regarding the mag-well, it is compatible with most standard TM AEG M4 magazines. Successful tests have been conducted with thicker magazines such as PTS, as well as thinner ones like Guarder Blu-Box. The connection lip with the magazine is made of brass, improving the durability over time, ensuring a correct disconnection of the ball retention pin in the magazine. The magazine release button is centrally located and can be operated ambidextrously.

To facilitate reloading, the adapter is equipped with a ball retention system on the feeding channel. This system is automatically engaged when the AEG magazine is inserted into the mag-well, and upon removal, 2 more balls will drop. The system is robust, spring-loaded, and can be manually operated to clear any remaining balls in the feeding channel when needed.

The air supply is specially designed to provide a sufficient airflow so that there are no operating issues with the pistol, even when dealing with high rates of fire. This was achieved by using a high-flow US type QD nipple and ensuring an internal 4mm channel throughout the body of the magazine. We recommend not using a pressure higher than 120 PSI as you risk damaging the pistol. We have successfully tested the adapter up to 150 PSI.

The installation of the adapter is very simple, it is delivered with all its accessories pre-mounted in position, so it is your responsibility to disassemble the pistol magazine and connect it to the adapter. In this case, the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa magazine has a single central screw that secures the adapter. From the original magazine, you practically remove its cap (bottom) and use the screw, along with its seal and the large seal from the cap itself. Once tightened in place, you will be able to connect the line and the AEG magazine and use it. The package includes the HPA adapter and the spacer for the pistol magazine, which will limit the double stacked balls in a single stack arrangement to facilitate ball feeding.
